From the little time I was involved, it struck me that drafting replacements is something that the powers that be are very reluctant to do, but Conor is certainly setting himself up for the proverbial firing squad based on last night's reactions.

The best solution for C5 would just be to rescind this week's nominations and just send Conor packing. Anyone who has voted to save Lydia and Deana already are unlikely to be very annoyed at that solution, especially considering the strong reactions to Conor's bizarre sense of "humour" ...

My girlfriend suggested stronger in-house punishments could be used, but there is so little that can be meaningfully done. A mere reprimand sends out almost no statement, whereas a typical BB-style punishment could be contrued as too joky, making light of a serious situation. Since actual solitary confinement, a whipping, or being locked in the stocks would almost certainly draw an even stronger reaction from Ofcom, more's the pity, disqualification remains the only meaningful option.
