I have been enjoying the show very much this year and think it already shamed the horrendous BB12. But when Lydia went I said to myself as I left for a holiday a week ago "well, it might get boring now..."
Wrong!
Holy **** was this week good, topped by a superb task and eviction. The housemates have been good so far but the way that the best task done yet on C5 added to the drama was the icing on the cake. The production team are finally back up to par with that one, keep it up. I just watched most of the week and came away saying "wow, welcome back Big Brother!"
This week we got drama, we got fun, we got divides and turns and nice people winning over the arrogant "Team Nasty" in one of the best popularity turns arounds in BB history in Deena. But to see the housemates suffering, and being really punished and cracking as a result because they have been pampered so far was just great. This week just had a dark feeling to it, a serious nature that has not been seen in quiet some time. Big Brother was evil again
Once I get past the pink and blue glam and some of the editing (though it continues to drastically tone down) this really is entering favorite series territory for me. And the fact I actually have got to know this years HM's somewhat and really route for a hand full of them shows how much CH5's BB has improved.
Just great, I actually am hyped for Big Brother for a way that I haven't been since Big Brother 7.
