Default George Orwell: 1984

Amazingly, more BB fans did NOT know what that title meant.
They don't know who 'George wassit or why its 1984 and aint bovered'.

But this seasons producers GOT IT RIGHT!
Well they are well back on the right track. This last task is yet another great job by 5!

See, kids don't know this but - one of the original concepts, the original draws, the original intrigues was actually a kind of modern real-life experiment of the horrifying world painted by author George Orwell in his book '1984'

The very idea was that people would be subjected to this terrible anonymous authority (Big Brother) and subjected to psycho-sociological engineering, monitoring, manipulation, experiments and..
...Well this task is doing a great great job. And it WILL bring out all manner of intrigue, betrayals, resentment, drama and even endearing and admirable social behavior.

You got it 5! You absolutely got the right idea and while it might be 'too little too late' I hope you do get credit where its due:
You really ARE trying to take this back to the original concept and it IS paying off and what a great job!

I think most the task this series are designed to just experiment on the housemate.

I agree. When I saw "Obey Big Brother" I fell in love with this task.

Yes - and refreshing change from far too many past series going for bikini/highlight show laughs.
And actually they ARE getting those comedy gold clips AND carrying out psychological experiments at the same time after all!
(see: Caroline's version of 'rat cage' lol)

And btw.. it seems to be working like magic! The Big Brother themed task really is blowing that whole house up, bringing out all kinds of resentments, attitudes etc.
Great great stuff!
