Nikki was forced into the 'clear-the-air' talks when Richard blamed her for the bad feeling between the two girls.

"You've got the problem, not her," he told the Middlesex girl bluntly. Begrudgingly, Nikki joined her rival for a lengthy chat in the bedroom. Aisleyne had a stressed look about her.

"I feel intimidated by you," said Nikki. "Yesterday I was scared to go into the shower because you'd cleaned it."

"If you're saying I'm intimidating on national TV it freaks me out. Is it fair to say that?" asked Aisleyne.

"I'm just worried about upsetting you," said Nikki.

"Vice versa, babes," replied the Londoner.

From that point on Aisleyne did most of the talking. "You should have come to me instead of going to other people in the House, and making me feel like an aggressive nutcase. Us not getting on will make our time difficult in here; I want to get on with you," she said.

"So do I," replied Nikki in a slightly whiny albeit heartfelt tone.

"If I seemed aggressive it's because I've got s*** going on in my head about what I did to that boy. It's not about you at all. Whatever you're feeling, it's not reality. I can't take it anymore," concluded Aisleyne, a touch of desperation entering her voice.

She let out an exhausted sigh and slumped her head downwards. She looked close to tears. Nikki sat uncomfortably for a couple of minutes, chewing her nails, before finally giving Aisleyne the obligatory hug. It started off tentatively, but became gradually more genuine, and by the end the two girls looked like best pals.

Let's just hope this latest truce lasts more than a day.
