I think he said he wants to use the money for a house or something like that, I hope he is smart with the cash, 50k is a good amount but only if you invest it carefully, I got the feeling he might do some wrong choices.

I doubt the BBBOTS blackboard has much value as a legal document, but after hearing that caller from Derry Conor might be well advised to invest in a mask as soon as he gets back home (assuming he has any plans that don't involve bingeing the cash away) ...

Thats fine, but he made a big thing about Luke S having his own house, ...and used it as a reason to take the money. But then he also made a big thing about going to the final....

He doesn't have the character or maturity to spend it wisely. It might seem like a lot of money, but in reality it is not that much. Certainly not enough to buy a house in a nice area. His wish-list is frankly ridiculous. Would be very easy for somebody like Conor to blow all of it in less than 12 months and have nothing to show for it. I would strongly suggest that he get some financial advice from a professional.

Why do people want him to spend wisely? I want him to end up with FO ala Lottery Lout Mikey Caroll.

I look forward to him blowing the lot on crap (flashy car etc) and wedding and then his gf/ wife dumping him leaving skint and a mess.

It will be gone in 6 months and his life wont be any better.

50k isn't that much when you think of it as unlimited. The limit comes fast.

I would pay off debt and put the rest in the bank.

He made a big thing about Luke S having a house, and him living with his ma... so you would have thought the wise chose would be a nice fat deposit on a house...blow 10K if you must but 40K is a pretty decent deposit in an area like Derry.... I didnt realise he was with his GF for just six months, I thought the way he went on about her he had been with her for years, but then I remembered what he said in his VT and Luke reminding him he had been single when he applied....
