I think Adam needs to get off his moral high horse. Yeah he might have turned his life around. But When he was the same age as Caroline, Becky, Ashleigh etc he was breaking and entering and committing fraud. I would say that's a tad worse than bitching and talking about people.

Exactly people at 20 aren't necasarily the people they are going to be for the rest of there life. So for him to bad mouth the younger people in the house with such derogitry comments...He more than anyone should know when your young you do and say daft things you don't allways mean.

Tarring all prisoners with the same brush is a little naive... not everyone in prison is a rapist or a murderer... there're people with drug problems or tax evasion probably have some level of respect. I can see his point. Caroline and Arron were childish, stirring, evil pricks.

Adam's recognised the error of his ways and continues to want to help others caught in a negative cycle. Why go on about his shady past when he's turned it around? What he's done is laudable and not something to continually beat him with a stick.

I know he has sorted his life out now, and I'm glad for him. But he was much worse than the other hms when he was there age. So he should know more than anyone when you are young you can be a idiot. It's part of growing up.

So for him to criticise the others so harshly for there failings & mistakes... I would think he would know what it's like to mess up when you are young.

No it's not something to beat him with a stick with and he has obviously learnt from his mistakes and all the power to him. But I do agree with other peoples comments that the younger hms have a lot to learn in life yet, hopefully they will not have such an extreme lesson as Adam but you have to remember they are all quite spoilt kids. I do hope some of the negativity they have encountered will teach them some life lessons in acceptable behaviour but in some cases maybe they won't.

I was answering the point other posters have made about his past - perhaps your point was missed, not others.

I don't think drug-dependency related crime is the same as the uncalled for disrespect Adam is referring to in the BB house. So it's not comparing like with like.

What about life experience?Meeting one new person can change the way you think about things, Luke A for example could change the way you think about gender re assignment in a positive way, going some where in the world India shall we say could change the way you think about life the universe and everything, who knows , but essentially life experience is what you gain through age , surely?

This needs to be tattooed on a few foreheads from this batch of HM's.

As was pointed out when Becky kept whining about only being 19. 19 year olds are currently serving in wars and people far younger than 19 have spent years of dedicated training to win medals in the Olympics the past 2 weeks. Not to mention "only 20" does not apply to Conor, Shievonne or Luke S. Even giving a pass to those as old as 23, age does not excuse what went on in there.

And truth be told, his fellow gang members before he went to prison very likely had more respect than the people he's been living with the last 3 months. They understood consequences for actions, and didn't expect anyone to give them a pass because "waaaah I'm only 20!" In their world actions can have deadly consequences, and nobody cares if you're 13 or 30.

It's quite obvious that half of that house have never in their entire life been held responsible for anything they've done. Including in the house - they don't even accept what they did live on TV for the whole world to watch.

I object to the sweeping generalisation that all 19/20 year adults are immature, nasty, arsewipes whose despicable behaviour others are supposed to tolerate because of their youth. Since this is not the case, it follows that age is not a factor in the essential character of an individual.
