Default Fireworks

Do you like them?

I love them on Bonfire Night and at celebrations but they have been going off here all day and night for the past few days and it's so bloody annoying not to mention extremely stupid setting them off during the day.

Yeah they're alright but I don't agree on people spending so much money on them at new years eve etc. They're not really worth the money at the end of the day.

Plus my dog hates them she sits there shaking all night on my mum's lap

they're like rollercoasters in a way, nearly always underwhelming, you wait ages for them, and they only last a minute or two, unless you go to a proper show using computers

On Bonfire Night we normally go to a show at a theme park those ones are really good

But the ones going off here atm are doing my head in.

Yup. I used to get so scared as a kid though...my dad always did a little firework display in the back garden and made food and stuff, and for some reason one year I got it into my head that one of the fireworks was going to go off while he was lighting it and kill him or something, so I went totally hysterical for quite a while over it and we started going to proper firework displays instead. Still to this day dont know why I started thinking like that, was a bit of an odd kid

Am not for the 'do it in back garden stuff' with folk who often are too young to be realising the danger of them.

Absolutely LOVE the big official displays that are set up. Strathclyde park display can be seen from my house (and heard when the music starts too) - if the weather is rubbish, I can see and hear all the fun from the warm comfort of my house.

If it's a cold crisp night, then we go down and join in the carnival atmosphere -it's great.

Seeing the little kiddies being a mixture of completely enchanted / terrified is brilliant to watch!

Got to say, they always put on a great show - I love the obligatory blast of "Let me Entertain You" that always figures in the play list .... the reflection on the water with the displays is gorgeous. Then a quick nip into the 19th hole before wandering home again ..... canny beat it.

Never been that keen on them, however since Guy Fawkes night has now somehow ended up extended to being almost a week or two judging by the amount of fireworks being set off in that period I like them even less.
My Dog really hates them too.

I love fireworks when they are used properly and in the right place, love little back garden affairs as you always get idiots at the displays, although they are great, some always like to spoil things,I also feel sorry for animals at this time too as some are a prime targets for thugs.

I prefer them on New Year's Eve than on Bonfire Night personally, feels like more of an occasion.

I watch the London ones on TV every year, I really want to go at some point.
