yes to the first bit, no to the getting up, I've never been affected in that way, yes to the eating to a certain extent.

I think some people are insecure. In this case it helps to talk to your partner about it.

I think a lot of people go through stages in their relationships where they feel not worthy or like there are problems....if its you, you need to talk to your partner, you may find she has no idea you are feeling like that...

Yes, I suffered depression on and off for about 5 years. At one point my doc tried telling me I was a 'manic depressive' though I dont think so as thats another word for bipolar and surely I would have known if I was (plus would have needed more than fluoxetine to control it) :/

I went through a stage where I was close to depression, I was on tablets for a while, it was around when I was 12/13, I had a lot going on in my life and I was bulimic, it was the worst.

Quite a lot actually. It's something that's been increasing in both intensity and frequency for me over the past year, and I hate it.

I've had two bouts with depression in my life, the first of which was brought on by Roaccutane and the second was brought on by being alone in a foreign country... it's very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel sometimes but thankfully the effects eventually wore off, and I returned to the UK with regards to the second time.

..well, it depends on his situation really..I don't think there is a 'normal'..but it is possible for any couple to have other things blur their feelings a bit..you know things like job commitments, children, financial stresses etc....

..maybe it would be good for him and his partner to try to get a break from all of that if possible...?..maybe get a relative to take the children if there's children involved..?...just for a day or so...and not think of work or any other things going on...just talk about how he feels to her..and try to re-connect...?...

..because she may also be feeiling that she isn't good enough too...and he doesn't know....

I suffered from depression once and took meds to help get over it.

Since then I've been pretty concious of my mood, and I try to do things that helps keep depression away, good diet and exercise.

try get some routine, especially when it comes to food and exercise and stick to it. if other things get in the way, try and catch up with it later in the day.

having a job and earning an income also helps. the rest tends to fall into place easier then.

mind you the state of england now is enough to make santa cry. Its a confused mess of a country. Just try and keep away from negative people and negative or dangerous situations.
