Default things you can't understand people buying...

DUMMIES.

oh my christ, people who buy dummies for their babies. They are the most disgusting unhygienic things in the world and it's not like the kid needs them. They are one of my pet hates at work.

Parents buy their children dummies when the kids are at teething age because it soothes their gums I hear. The children just get attached to them and it keeps them quiet.

Thing is though, the majority of parents buy them just to shut them up, when really it's completely unnecessary. It's so unhygienic. What happens when they drop the dummy on the floor? They put the dummy straight back in the babies mouth. I hate it.

and the whole buying dummies for their gums is a load of crap.

I have never known anyone to pick a dummy up and put it back in a babies mouth without washing it, that is just disgusting arent they used to make the baby relax and think he/she is suckling and then they fall asleep?

Anyway...mobile phones that cost hundreds of quid, completely stupid.

Yup, its one of the 5 things they say for you to do if your newborn wont settle and seems very upset for a long time. Other 4 are swaddling, shushing, swaying and IDK the last one. Makes them feel safe apparently.

No excuse for toddlers having dummies though IMO.

I can maybe understand babies having one, but i hate it when I see toddlers with them.

none of my sisters or myself had them, and we never needed them. I just see them as a problem when you try to wean them off of them too. It's not nice for them.

Yeah if Skye had one I would have her off it by about 3 months, and she would ONLY use it when absolutely necessary, not just shoving it in her mouth everytime she made a noise like some parents seem to do. Luckily when we tried her with one(during a HUGE tantrum) she refused it though, so I dont have to worry about that.

Gavins other daughter still had a dummy at 3 year old. It pissed me off no end. She also used to have a bottle of warm milk on a night to send her to sleep until she was 4

haha lucky you!

how is Skye doing btw? is she crying a lot?

and ugh, I just hate parents that do it. I don't mean to generalize against all parents that use dummies, it's just so often you see older kids with them when they just don't need them. At work you see the babies with a dummy in their mouths and they have snot running down their noses. Then they take them out and crawl away and another baby will put it in their mouth. It's just so vile.

and lol, that's kinda funny. I'd find it so annoying. What did Gavin think about her having a dummy at that age?

Vajazzles.

I mean really, who wants to be looking at a decorated gash? And the health and safety reasons for these, they pose a choking hazard!

Ben this just about your phobia of vaginas.

When you're going down on a girl and you get sequences lodged at the back of your throat though. It's the worst
