After losing the ratings war to Strictly this year, Simon Cowell is apparently desperate to sign up Rihanna to be a judge on the X Factor.

The music mogul is so keen to have the 'Diamonds' singer on the show, he is considering her for either the UK or US version of the show, according to reports.

A source told the Sun: "Simon is a huge admirer of Rihanna and knows she’s star quality. As well as bringing an aura to the panel thanks to her current standing in music, she is also feisty and will make great TV. Simon loves these sort of characters."

The X Factor boss will be in Barbados for Christmasas he traditionally celebrates the festive season there, making it the perfect opportunity to meet up with Rihanna.


The singer who is originally from the Island will be going back to spend the festive season with her family; so the two will most likely hold discussions then.

It's not just Rihanna Simon wants for his shows, he is also reportedly keen to sign the 24 year old's on-off boyfriend, singer, Chris Brown to replace LA Reid.

Despite Chris' bad boy reputation Simon believes the 'Turn Up The Music' singer will give the show the publicity it needs.

The added: "The US X Factor has improved on the first season’s ratings but it’s got some way to go to reach Simon’s expectations. Adding Chris to the panel will certainly create a talking point."

Hopefully Chris doesn't take it. Will only end badly for him. Would be epic if he was a judge on the UK one just to see the meltdown by the public . Can only see him replacing LA for the US one though. Rihanna doing it may mean she will take a break from releasing an album every couple months.

and I along with many other people will turn the show off if he's on it. There's proof that he punched Rihanna. There's a police report and everything.

He shouldn't be relevant today.

Also the US version will be going through some budget cuts. There's no way they'll sign Chris Brown.
