Thanks everyone
I just felt it would help me as i'm finding it harder and harder to recover after drinking, can't stand that sluggish feeling.
Poor mizzy, hope you have recovered after that.

Kizzy, I've always had the worst hangovers ever. It wasn't a problem when I was younger and drinks would be mixed with Peruvian marching powder, so I was ok. But now, I can be completely sober after a couple of pints, but still wake up with a headache.

I'm 27 in a few months and I've pretty much been forced into giving up drinking. I could cope with just being sluggish, but not feeling sick.

For those who dont drink but used to, do u think your boring without a drink? I have been told im very funny when ive had a drink. But i know im a bot boring without one.

I was a nightmare in my 20's and early 30's on the booze.. let's just leave it at that haha!
If anything i'm more boring and I find other people boring when drunk as everyone just chats **** don't they?

I say I feel sluggish, but in all honesty it's worse than that jesus.
Like you I just feel like I've been poisoned and look like a junkie it's not worth it haha.

Just wait till you hit your 30's, It's not worth spending two days recovering after a few glasses of wine for me, I hardly drank at all over Christmas

I'll probably be completely teetotal by 30. My most adventurous drinking sessions this Christmas, have been on lunchtime trips to my village local for a plate of meat and a hoegaarden (only 1).

I'm heading that way myself I reckon, I went out over Christmas to an engagement party and decided I'd drive, I really thought it would bother me not drinking when everyone else was but it didn't bother me at all

Detox's are a myth, Lee, so don't worry about it. If your liver is working fine, then you are automatically being continually detox'd.

To be honesty, I actually don't think it is remotely possible for ny liver to be working properly!

I've swallowed a LOT of milk Thistle over the festive period! I've actually only been properly wankered twice, but its just all the glasses if wine/champagne/nightcaps that you seem to have every where you go! It all mounts up!

...and nice to see you too Kizzy! I'll have a wee drink for you tonight

I've never even tried alcohol yet. I don't see a point in it really.

Thanks, I've said it before but this place played a huge part in the initial stage of recovery. I withdrew from everything and spent a lot of time on here when the kids weren't around to keep me focused.
