I remember quite enjoying the series at the time, although the reward/party room thing did get repetitive at the time. I enjoyed Cameron's trip to BB Africa, not because of Cameron but because of the chance to see some of the African show and Gaetano was an interesting addition to BB4 for as long as he lasted.

Surprisingly, it was one of the more popular series, pulling in an average of 4.6m viewers per night

Same with myself. I think its got such a bad rap over the years for just housing a group of nice normal people instead of loud and brash wannabe's. That its between BB2,BB3 and BB5,BB6 doesn't help. The producers wanted a easy going BB after the BB3 house of arguements and loudmouth hm's and to get back to BB1 like ways. It wasn't the flop many taught it was.

some of the reasons why i think it didn't do as well....

The fact it lost three lively HM's early in Anouska (seen her in BBAus shows what we could have got), Fed and Jon in the very early stages (i blame producers for this) who i felt could have bought a little life to the house. The voting public were also to blame as BB threw in Lisa a hm who was about to bring a bit of mayhem to the house two weeks in they voted her out was a mistake. They let the hm's lay about all day and read books (the last time they let them bring books in) instead making them do tasks or putting them under a bit of pressure,

But saying that its the last BB that i can say that nearly all the Hm's weren't wannabe's and in fact were likeable. Yes Nush, Steph, Scott, Gos and Cameron weren't exactly great to watch but the conversations they had were great. The Tasks were fine and Ray and Scott on LF were great at night just talking about any old thing until 8 in the morning. LF that year was great as BB missed out on BB olympics which the HM's set up themselfs and Jon won which was gripping stuff . Ray was and is a underrated HM and thanks to him he made the last week bearable. Tania and Gaetano clashes were excellent, Lisa mad warblings and sayings were funny.Cameron trip to Africa was fun. Fed was up himself but was funny as well and Jon really was a breath of fresh air.

Was it classic BB?
No i think Between BB1 to BB7 i think its the weakest but i chose it over BB8 to BB13. It had its moments and had likeable Hm's.
