no but my mum got stuck in a lift about 20 years ago and hasn't been in one since

Especially the flat ones at airports!!!

I don't know anyone with escalaphobia. Apparently, it's commonly related to the fear of stairs and slopes. Bathmophobia sufferers are afraid of simply being in the presence of a slope or a set of stairs, even if they are not expected to climb or descend.
