Perez Hilton has revealed the full name of his son as Mario Armando Lavandeira III.

The 34-year-old American blogger announced last month that he had become a father via surrogate to the baby boy. However, he hadn't before revealed the name of his first-born child.

Taking to PerezHilton.com, Hilton wrote: "We are thrilled to formally introduce you all to the angel we are blessed to have as a son, Mario Armando Lavandeira, III Perez Hilton, Jr."

Hilton also posted 40 images of himself and Lavandeira Jr on the site, stating that the pictures could be used free of charge by those visiting his site.

Writing in February about the birth of his son - the mother of whom he has so far refused to name - Hilton said that his family were "overjoyed" at the addition.

"I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life," Hilton continued. "And I am honoured and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his."

Hilton is no stranger to controversy and confrontation with high-profile celebrities. Recently, he became involved in a war of words with Miley Cyrus, in which she told him not to "******" with her love life.
