A picture of a gay woman's revenge on her homophobic dad has become an internet hit.

The 20-year-old and her girlfriend were on the receiving end of the father's fury, so she responded by placing a rainbow-coloured bumper sticker on to his vehicle.

"I put this on my homophobic dad's work truck after he yelled at me, and mainly my girlfriend, for being gay," the woman said on Reddit.

"I came out at 14. I guess my dad has been in pretty deep denial for the past 6 years, because when I introduced him to my [significant other], he flipped.

"He's a strong baptist and made sure we knew we were going to hell. He made my girlfriend really upset. So, like any good girlfriend would do, I made sure my dad understood he was a d**k."
