I haven't had a migraine in a while -touches wood- but I've had some pretty bad ones, one time I had one start just at the end of a school day and I was sitting on the bus which was taking forever to get through the lights to my stop because of traffic and I couldn't handle it anymore so I barged off the bus and trudged home while my migraine was getting stronger by the minute, I ended up walking through shin deep puddles and barely feeling it, I couldn't even open my eyes as I was approaching my house, the front door was locked so I had to ring the doorbell so my mum would let me in because finding my keys was too much of an effort and she put me to bed, had to sleep it off.

Also I had an outrageous hangover last summer, my first ever hangover (I almost never get them), had to sleep for another couple of hours and then it took me 5 hours to drink a bottle of water I was shaking so bad

Also when I broke my nose, that wasn't fun, but it wasn't nearly as painful as I expected breaking your nose would be, it was just the shock of the impact more than anything. But yeah, I think the migraine was the worst, knowing that it was coming and not being able to get home fast enough.

Agreed abscess pain is horrific, you could have poisoned your bloodstream bursting it though

I tripped up a gutter in Year 10 and destroyed my ankle, I was literally standing on my ankle for a second or two before I went down. I was off school for weeks and I didn't have PE for months afterwards ()

I've been pretty lucky, only time I've needed stitches is tripping over doing cross-country on a cobbled path (in football boots... great logic there, P.E. teachers). Cut my knee open quite bad.

I've never broken anything, or needed surgery. The worst thing I've felt is just cramp in my leg; I used to get it quite regularly in my sleep when I was about 18. It was ****ing horrible though, had to keep quiet (it was the middle of the night ) but was crying silently in agony LOL

Two years ago I had a bit of an accident where glass impaled the area just below my stomach and the nurse at A&E used a thin plastic rod to check how deep the injury was. It was only like 3/4 of an inch but hurt like ****

and this is nothing on childbirth, right...? oh lordy

yeah, i had taken like 6 ibuprofens through out the day to try and help and there was absolutely no difference. i went to the hospital like at 12am and they saw to me straight away. i was sick at the hospital then a few times at home, so i dont know if there was something actually wrong with me or i was just throwing up from pain.

I used to contemplate throwing myself down the stairs in school just to get out of PE.

Now I'm older I see it was a bit drastic. lol

I met my best friend in PE. We both used to just make fun of the people who were actually trying. Then the teacher would make us do laps, which we were happy with, cause we didn't wanna participate anyway.

Probably when i broke a couple of ribs falling off a ladder last year i could hardly move for a week or so and was in pain for a couple of months.
It hurt to even breath and i ended up with a chest infection from breathing shallow and not being able to cough properly because of the pain.

Child birth obviously but a part from that, I had a trapped nerve in my neck once, it was so painful. I had to stay lying down for 2 weeks because anytime I stood or sat up and my neck had to support my head I got this pain shooting through my head, I'd start throwing up it was so bad

...oh, I forgot about that and it wasn't long ago I had it either...yeah, I agree Niamh..that's an excruciating pain and the medication makes you feel just as bad but in a different way...did you have to support your head with your hand when you lifted it off the pillow..?..I would cry myself to sleep, I felt so sorry for myself lol....how could I forget that....

..yeah, that's what everyone would say to me about the medication...I could have turned into a drug dealer and sold it on the streets lol...I just prefer to be in control of my brain and not have it wander off on it's own...although my family would probably say that it does anyway....

Oh god I used to get night cramps as well, I'd have to jump out of bed and hobble around my room to try and walk it off, it's so uncomfortable. Not painful per se but pretty unpleasant all the same. Also reminded me that sometimes my toe joints go weird and do this weird thing where they like... dislocate, or lock out of position or something idk, ugggghhhhhh I'm feeling grossed out thinking about it, usually happens in cold weather, it's awful.
