I was sure on BBLB they said that Suzie was machiavellian champ.

I think all that bit did was make the housemates look stupid for having no idea how to pronounce it or what it meant.

I didn't think this was right to do that it could influence people in and out of the house.

Why did she have to cry about it in the diaryroom she didn't even know what it meant. The tests were done before they entered the house maybe they have changed.

Any sympathy I felt toward her was removed by her crying again.

These tests were shown on BBLB before I thought they had said Suzie was top I guess she just scored high.

Grace never cried at the drop of a hat like Aisleyne, yeah she cried when she heard those chants but she got over it and when she was evicted, she didnt let it bother her she handled it well. Compare that to Aisleyne's track record, and how she reacted when she was thought she was getting evicted. Completely lost count of how many times shes cried

I agree with the OP, but I don't neccessarily think it was entirely a bad thing.

Because Glyn was unhappy at being Machiavellian as well, although only 4th admittedly, there was much explanation of what it actually meant and entailed. Susie did a good job, (employing her Machiavellian side) of explaining that it didn't neccessarily mean that you were a bad person or that you went around lying all the time. This helped Glyn and I think will also have a reflective effect on Aisleyne.

I enjoyed watching Ash's "I keep it real" philosophy being crushed and flushed lol She is fake IMO, and to watch her squirming at the thought of the public unhinging her mask was enjoyable lol I don't dislike Ash,but I'm not too fond of her either.

I think she handled it badly..she should have just laughed it off like the rest and escaped suspicion. Now, I don't know about anyone else,but I feel she's more Machiavellian than i would do if she had of shrugged it off.

As soon as the Machiavellan 'test' was announced she had a worried look on her face. The worried look continued all the way through the HM's discussions about which order they should stand on the podiums. She did not know exactly what Machiavellian meant but she had a pretty good idea, and she knew she was going to be high in the list.

But, it was another chance for her to turn on the 'tears and snotters'. How can there be a water shortage in the South when this human reservoir is leaking water all over it?.

Well said Sticks. I'm no expert on Machiavelli but I know a little from my politics/history days and I was a little disappointed with the very simplified and crude explanation that BB put forward as to what it means to be Machiavellian.

The basic principle of The Prince (i think) is that the "means justifies the end", basically that if you achieve the result then it doesn't matter how you achieved it. It's the result that matters.

But the result itself doesn't have to be connected to a personal gain. For example, someone who is prepared to kill a 100 people which would affect a change in government so that thousands or millions benefit would be Machiavellian as the result would justify their willingness to kill. Some would view such a person as wrong, in that killing is always wrong. Others would view it as acceptable, because in the end, more benefitted from the death of a few.

it's an interesting concept, but I was a little disappointed with BB's rather simplified explanation of it, and the conspiracy theorist in me thinks BB are engineering the situation so that Ash is even more disliked and they can be guaranteed a nice high week of voting when she's eventually nominated.

What they do not realise is that they have all shown incredible Machiavellian traits by getting into the house in the first place.
They came through an audition process that started off as c.100,000 wannabees, by sending their audition video, in which most of them acted zanier, wackier and weirder than they were in real life, thereby fooling the BB production team.
Even Susie co-erced her husband into buying a £4,000 ticket into the house.
Machiavellian, every single one of them. It doesn't matter who is 'The Most'

Bur BB totally fluffed the descrition by emphasising deceit and manipulation, effectively questioning her integrity. How would you feel if someone called you a liar and a coniving manipulative person infront of others?

The suspicion is that the test was flawed if it was a ticky-boxes exercise, because people just tick boxes at random if they get stuck.

Sorry but Ashlene is not the sharpest tool in the box, and it takes high intelligence to be truely Machievellian.
