Default The National Music Awards

The National Music Awards are on ITV1 at the moment and Brian and Tess Daly have just presented Will with the 'Favourite Newcomer' Award.

Will was up against Gareth again, as well as Liberty X and Miss Dynamite.

Well done Will, and it was nice to see Brian as well.

The show is on until 11 and I think both Will and Gareth are supposed to be performing later.

Will has just won Best UK Male Artist as well.

Janette will have a huge grin all over her face for the whole of the weekend.

He was up against Gareth again (and Tom Jones and Robbie Williams) and the camera panned to Gareth just after it was announced and he didn't look very happy.

Sorry Mcginn, we posted that at the same time.

Remember the twins from the Popstars auditions? Well, they're now on singing their new single!!! i seem to remember a thread a little while ago saying that Simon Cowell had signed them - looks like it was true!

Aaargh!!!!

Congratulations to Gareth, at least he has won something.

'Best Musical Performance on TV'.

PS: Doesn't Martine McCutcheon look like Lorraine Kelly with her glasses on?

Have been watching the awards. How cool did Will look!! Winning two awards and against such strong opposition was absolutely brilliant. He also sang 'You and I' which was stunning.

Bless his little heart - he was absolutely speechless when he won his second award - literally.

I have also been asked to make a couple of comments on the awards (well a certain Mr Young's participation) from a fellow member of the board, who is unable to join us tonight. She is known to us all - a little clue being 'Will's No.1 Fan'.

Here goes:-

"Will is fab"
"Will rules"
"Will is cool"
"Will is THE best singer"
"Will is sooooo sexy"

As you can see, she has a sneaking admiration for Will but is rather hesitant at expressing herself.

She also wanted to say that another 'fresh faced, so-called singer' has been put firmly in his place (and did not look a happy bunny at losing out twice to Will). The fact that this individual also mimed to his latest song was not appreciated either whereas Will sang his heart out on 'You and I' LIVE!!!!

OK folks - that's the view from the British jury.

I must say what a brilliant programme that was and congratulations to Martine she did a fantastic job - could show a few other presenters of award shows a thing or two.

So pleased Will won - he certainly deserved it, though not too sure Gareth would agree.

Also lovely to see our Brian again.

Yeah, Martine did a fab job and seemed very natural - but didn't she look AWFUL!! What was with that fringe and those glasses?? She is normally looks really glam so her stylist must have cocked up.

Will's performance (as usual) was amazing! I'm so glad he won something voted for by the public again as it just goes to show that he is still as popular as ever. I had switched off by about 10:15, but at that point I thought the whole programme was turning into the "Will Young" show with the two awards he won, the one he presented and his fantastic singing! Good job as well, as the rest of the programme was pretty average .....

It just goes to show how much I rely on this website to get info on the latest going ons! I completely forgot about these awards Glad Will won though, looks like he might do the same with album sells, apparently Gareths sales arent doing brilliantly.
Then again, saying that, I thought Wills album would have had a bit more of an impact with the public than it has done, I know it got to No1 but I thought it would have fired into the charts and got everyone talking but sadly it hasnt. I willwait for more of his singles because I KNOW he will do well for himself!
