Former Big Brother host Davina McCall has said she’s looking forward to the new series.

Davina quit the series in 2011 following its move from Channel 4 to Channel 5, but is still a huge fan.

And with the FOURTEENTH series just two weeks away from starting, Davina can’t wait.

The telly presenter however confessed she’s still glad she decided not to take part in the final series on Channel 4, despite an offer from producers.

“I had the chance to go into the house for a night in the last series, but [husband] Matthew vetoed it,” she explained. “He said that he didn’t want other people watching me sleep as it was the only bit of me what he had left.

“And I was thinking, ‘That’s so romantic’, but I was also thinking, ‘Damn, that would’ve been amazing’. But I’m glad I didn’t do it.”

Davina explained: “Housemates used to tell me that being in the Big Brother house was much tougher than anybody ever imagines.

“I like to think that I’m a nice person with a good heart. But BB is like holding up a mirror to every single gesture – and you might look at yourself and think I’m not the person I thought I was. It’s tough.”

A former BB host for a staggering 10 YEARS, Davina was quick to congratulate Emma Willis on her new gig earlier this year as the new face of the show.

She tweeted: “@Emma_Willis well done emma xxx”

Big Brother 2013 will air nightly on Channel 5 from June 13.

At no point in that article does davina say she's excited. Tellymix are very good at chipping and sticking together old quotes to make a new article.

I have no idea who or what you are talking about... Contracts? The article mentions nothing of the sort...

The only thing I can possibly think of is this:

Davina's decision not to take part in the series on C5 had nothing to do with her being under contract with anyone, nor does the article give any impression that she is or was under exclusive contract with anyone... And the article makes no mention of Davina or anyone for that matter "moving" to Channel 5 for anything and it's not even alluding to anything of the sort... It only states the obvious fact that the show itself was picked up by C5 after it had be dumped by Channel 4...

Davina has been very vocal from the end of the C4 series that she has completely moved on from BB... She still loves the show but it was too much of a commitment and she wanted to devote more time to her family... Channel 5 had no say in the matter and they had no choice but to find a new presenter... There is nothing in the article to speculate about so I still don't know where your "idea" came from...
