Being reported on a few sites, Mel Blatt tweeted her condolences. Simone was battling cancer and sadly passed away a couple of days ago. She was the original lead singer, above is Silver Shadow, the song she sings lead on - prior to the Appleton sisters joining All Saints. A truly talented singer, sad that she didn't pursue a career in music after quitting the band, her voice is beautiful and I've loved this song for years. |

I think she was only in the band for two years; and she had nothing to do with their later success, but she had a wonderful voice and Silver Shadow is beautiful to me
