Default Little Mix break Spice Girls US chart record

Quote:
Little Mix have broken a US chart record set by the Spice Girls.

They have become the first British girl group to debut within the Top 5 on the US Billboard 200 with their first album, after DNA landed at four in its first week on sale.

The previous record was held by the Spice Girls for their 1997 debut Spice, which reached number six on the Billboard chart during its opening week.

Little Mix's DNA sold 50,109 copies to reach the summit, while the collection has so far peaked within the Top 5 in seven countries globally.

They released their debut single 'Wings' in the US earlier this year and it has since been featured on Glee and American Idol.

They will also perform on Good Morning America as part of its summer concert series on June 7, which should help give the album a further push.
Well done Little Mix
