Default Pete is a wimp

His "sitting on the fence", not getting involved tactics, are really wearing thin.

Tonight he watched his little "kitten" Jenny, get bullied by a dominering pig,Mikey.
Instead of having the guts to say something, he just stood there like a weak wimp, and giggled.

He is calculating and fake. This alongside his sulking when he does;nt get his own way, and his consistent attention seeking tactics by not joining in on group activities.
IE:When everyone else is dancing, having fun, he stands still like a spoilt toddler, and sulks.

Britain, do not allow this fence sitter to win.
Give the money to someone with balls! Please!

The thing with Pete is he can afford to 'sit on the fench' and say hardly anything because he has won the show, i would much rather Glyn won who for me has been far more entertaining than Pete, it's never going to happen though.

I'm not sure what to think about Pete at the moment, but I don't think he's spoilt. And the incident with Jen and Mikey- well we all know Pete avoids confrontation if possible, and that's not a bad thing atall...yeah he could have stepped in to defend Jen, but IMO Jen was doing fine on her own anyway,I don't think she needed anyone else,I missed most of the argument unfortunately but, if he did giggle, it was probably his nervous giggle that we all know.I don't think he was giggling because he found it humourous.

I am sorry but I DO think it is a "bad thing" when you stand back and wittness your friend being bullied on YOUR behalf.
Jenny should give Pete her balls.

He behaved like a spoilt child when Richard got his letter from his terminanly ill mother.
Instead of being happy for his friend (which is why he supposdly wanted to leave the paradise place in the first place.) he sulked and acted sorry for himself.

Another incident.. When Mikey suggested to get up and walk away from Glyn when he came to sit by them,Pete followed.
Mister Pete "I don't like gettin involved in anything nasty," followed Mikey's stupid suggestion happily.

Wake up people
You are all being suckered! His mask keeps slipping.
Anyone but Pete to win!!

i'm sure if things got physical between mikey and jennie then pete would have stood up for her, jen did fine on her own..
mikey is turning into spiral a bully that picks on women, but don't underestimate the female of the species, we can stand on our own two feet, we have a mouth that can far out speak mikey, but he is tall and when he has a confrontation he uses that height along with raised voice.. very very intimidating, bet he would back down if some1 taller had a go back

Jennie could look after herself, she has got more courage than Pete, and was fighting her corner pretty well IMO.

I agree with you about his joining in with Mikeys' nasty joke. That was uncalled for, and not only did he join in, but he was loving it too, he couldn't wait to get up,he even got up before Mikey

BTW welcome to the forum Zoe!!

I am sure Jenny CAN stand on her own two feet, but that is irrelevant. We weren’t discussing Jenny's ability to balance.
What I was discussing was…
Backbone
Loyalty
Ethics
Admitting when you have made a mistake
He had the same smirk on his face whilst watching Jenny and Mikey, as he did the day he alienated Glyn in Mikey's lil game.
That is not nerves, that's a person’s character OR should I say lack of.
Why should Jenny have to wipe Pete's nose for him?
And why would you want someone like this to win?
I don't hate the guy, I just don't see whats so fabulous about him.

People seem to think that just because he has tourrettes that he's not capable of a game plan. That in itself is very patronising.

wow i can feel your anger from here zoe.. i already said in a previous post that if not for petes tourettes would he be so popular, your right he does tend to sit on the fence, but maybe he's had to fight all his life and wants a rest, i would have stood up for jennie cos i hate bullies, and i'm sure pete can wipe his own nose.. do like your quote and "chill your boots" your taking this way to serious lol

First off, I am not one of the people that wants Pete to win

and secondly, Pete has tourettes, and no backbone, and I'm sure both of those traits has something to do with the other, he avoids conflict, because maybe he doesn't want to be hurt himself? maybe he's been bullied due to his tourettes, which has made him somewhat paranoid and insecure?

It would have been noble if he had of jumped to Jens' defence, but it wasn't necessary... as i said Jen can look after herself.Yes I agree Pete should have stepped in beforehand and admitted he drunk the wine, the fact that he didn't is very dissapointing, and sly. But I can understand why he didn't.

And I DO believe that his giggle, was of the nervous kind. Pete may not be the most noble or assertive of men, but IMO he doesn't thrive off arguments or watching someone else suffer.

Where is this "mikey is a bully" stuff coming from? I watched the show last night and all I saw was two people having an argument. Two people who were quite capable of stating their points (albeit not in the most articulate or comprehensible manner) and there was no bullying going on. Why is it when two people argue, one (usually the guy or the bigger of the two people) has to be labelled a bully? I don't get it. Do peole really see females as that fragile and helpless?

As for Pete standing up for Jennie, why should he? Jennie was quite capable of arguing her point, why the hell should Pete step in and completely undermine her? And equally, why should Pete step in and alienate Mikey. It is a game after all, and there is little point in making enemies in the house. Again, why does Jennie need a man or anyone for that matter, to step forward for her?

No one is saying that Jenny was not capabale.
I am not saying that he had to leap in front of Jenny like a bodygaurd, but all he had to say was "I did drink some of the wine" and the argument would'nt have even began, but instead he chose to stay silent.

Default pete/xcharleyx

i am shocked that no one understands pete after all this time, the man has had abuse all his life,he and his friends must spend half thier lives making apologies about his swearing,he has found it almost impossible to be confrontational,i found it hard to think about but he is if nothing else consistant,i have never seen any agression in him from day one,he lied to diffuse the wine situation when he said he may have had some himself,i love the man,he is unique, feeling, humble, and i believe a hell of a person to know,i only wish thier were a lot more like him,it does effect me when he does not react to help friends but we are all forgetting the problems he has to face on a daily basis,if he was even moderately agressive the man would probably not be here today, imagine a gang of youths and pete called them wankers,it would take a lot of apology from him and his friends to diffuse the situation, hence the avoidence of confrontation, trebmal, dingle, liverpool

If you had actually read the posts trebmal, you would have realised I was jumping to Petes' defence.. maybe you'd like to do that now, or you can just make another misinformed post

And the negative comments I made are FACTUAL, they are actually things he has done on national TV, so it doesn't take much 'psychology'

And maybe I am a little suspicious, but that'll serve you well in life, you'll learn that when you grow up Trebmal

Oh, and that's Miss Nowhere to you

Maybe I'm missing something, but on my viewing, by the time the argument had reached the garden, all those involved knew that Pete had admitted to possibly drinking the wine. Thats not what the argument was about by then, it was about who had said what earlier. Mikey was backtracking saying that he said Jennie was the only one he saw drinking the wine (when his original statement was that Jennie was the only one drinking the wine).

I thought that by this time, they knew that Pete had admitted it?? Thats not what the argument was about. Thats why I find it strange that people expect Pete to stand up for Jennie, especially when the OP makes references to his little kitten Jennie, it seemed people expected Pete to come to her defence out of friendship or sympathy.
