(Obviously not Michael) Hazel, Dexter and Gina don't seem the type that'd audition so they were probably scouted, makes you wonder how many of them are really "normal" people

Hundreds of people would have been scouted to audition. Some of the ones who were 'scouted' may have got through. All of the housemates auditioned.
