Almost all of it has been fake. The viewers seem to not understand that half of the game involves manipulating the viewers themselves. Everybody here seems to take things at face value rather than considering what impression the contestants are trying to leave the audience with.

Crying is a natural process and it boosts your mood after you've had a good cry. I think the one who shed more tears are the ones who will cope best at being in there.

Jemima's tears were genuine and understandable.

Not many people believe it, but I don't think Daley was being fake yesterday?

He seemed genuinely upset to me, no? He has been quiet since he went in, he's clearly finding,it hard in there.

Maybe I should watch it back, but he genuinely seemed down to me and just had a 'moment'.

I felt a bit sorry for Jem too when she had a cry on the highlights last night. Maybe I'm a soft touch?

Dexter's tears were tactical though I think.

^^ I agree. Jemima and Daley's tears were genuine. Dexter was faking being emotional with Michael, and Gina was faking tearing up in the DR after her conversation with Wolfy.

I don't know, crying can be a release, in the house if something or someone was really getting you down you are in effect alone.
It is hard to at this stage think there is anyone you can sound off to and most of us need to do that sometimes with someone or others we really trust.

So the mixture of feeling down and that frustration could easily result in tears at some point.
I do think some can turn the tears on and may use it aiming for sympathy votes, however they are not totally sure that their crying will even be broadcast so I can go with it being genuine emotion mostly.

It is a strange and unnatural environment to be in and that will inevitably take its toll on housemates in my view.

I don't mind it when they cry, it's the fake criers that need to be watched out for.
