Default Do the producers give the crowd posters to hold?

I was watching last night and I kept noticing the poster someone was holding, of Michael with puppet strings (and moveable arms)... and the thought occurred to me that it was a totally pointless poster since it had no message or anything. And given that the team are quite selective of BOTS guests, and their lovely manipulation of all things HL shows, it wouldn't surprise me. Am I being a paranoid mess?

I wouldn't doubt it, they manipulate everything else to appear as they want it to!

In bb12, there were a massive amount of quite professional looking(and identical) jay mckray posters littered around the crowd each week...I did suspect it then.

Doctor Detroit had a fan in audience last night holding up a sign supporting his Couch Potato radio, so I don't think the producers make the signs. I doubt the producers would make a sign just for an American internet radio show.

look at the lower left hand corner.

Not all of them obviously, I'm sure some people come with their own, but maybe because all past series have had loads in the crowd, they might try and spread them out a bit so it doesn't look like a dead crowd

I wonder if people sell them near or on the site, that sounds like a quick way to make money to me

But actually I bet they were just excited for the eviction so made a poster and told all their friends to look out for the puppet

Yea i think you are right. some people just make elaborate signs cause they know it will be noticed on TV.

I've seen some signs from previous years that actually have the light up diary room button on them, and they actually light up.

I think they just want to be seen on TV.

I think the producers just have a quick glance over them to make sure they are not offensive, like no curse words or anything offensive on them, but i thinkthe signs are genuine.

I've noticed in BBUSA on the finales though, all of the signs are definitely fake, you can tell because all of them are written in the same style and font, and they just look too professional and neat.

I've noticed on BB Australia aswell they look fake sometimes.

But the BBUK ones always seem real.

I swear I read on here or another BB forum that some audience members are given posters/banners by the producers. Just in order to make the crowd look more lively.

Everything in BBUS finale is staged, even who they let in the audience. If you're not pretty and not an immediate family member, they don't let you in, and if you do make the cut, they hand you your sign at the door. Some of the past audience members have posted about it at TWoP.

The BBUK ones definitely look home made, but I was surprise they let the Detroit one in - we know they're aware of it, because Ian has mentioned it on BotS before (referring to it as "people who watch illegally").

If they were fully controlling the posters beings shown I'd like to think they'd have done something about the booing.

I recall in BB12 when Tashie was evicted, there were posters of her crying over fish fingers which were prohibited, anyone found holding one would be kicked out. So there is definitely some control there.

I don't mind it looked 'creative' tbh. hehe

Give me that over people taking their cardboard signs with 'GET ------- OUT' written in with whatever coloured felt-tip they could find before leaving their house.

Have you guys not been to evictions before? Surely someone on here must have been to a few and can clear this up?
