Tommy killing Arthur just doesn't ring true for me and I hate they did that to both characters. I don't know if they were planning on a reboot with Barry Keoghans "Duke" but I wouldn't be watching.

Marshall. Set in the 1940s, this is a courtroom drama, the true story of Thurgood Marshall, a NAACP lawyer and civil rights activist played by the late, great Chadwick Boseman. Marshall defends a black man (Sterling K Brown) of having raped a white woman (Kate Hudson). Really enjoyed this, Marshall was a hero, everyone should know who he was and what he did. 9/10

…Etruscan Smile……very lovely/very uplifting and warming ‘circle of life’ vein story of an elderly Scotsman who lives an isolated life on the Hebridean Islands and through circumstance, travels to the US to re-connect with his estranged son and to meet his grandchildren…a simple story but the excellent cast and the locations transformed it into a beautiful human journey…Brian Cox, Thora Birch, Rosanna Arquette, Peter Coyote, Treat Williams, Tim Matheson…all starring, all very lovely…7/10…

…Sunlight…it was one of those movies that felt a bit weird even after only a few moments in …and it never really lost that vibe but somehow, the characters were very compelling as well so I watched through to the end…yeah, unusual and not one that’s easy to rate in any way but I don’t know, I’ll find a box to tick now that I’ve experienced it…5.5/10…

…Reign Over Me……just one of those films that I happened across on Netflix and went into not really knowing much about it but the cast was very good so I watched…it’s an incredibly sad and incredibly powerful and incredibly heart-wrenching story of a man suffering from PTSD and survivor guilt many years after 9/11 and after losing his entire family in one of the planes that hit the towers…how he reconnects with an old college roomie and how that friendship impacts both of their lives…it’s not a cheery movie but it does have an uplifting feel and Adam Sandler’s performance is so powerful and joined by a perfect cast…8.5/10…

…Sarah’s Oil…lovely movie and lovely true story ….through her heritage a young 11yr old girl is allowed a plot of land which when given to her, was thought to be worthless…but she’s unshakeable in her belief that there is much oil underground as she can ‘hear it gushing’…anyway, ruthless men and companies trying to take her land and Sarah’s fight to protect her oil, her land and her family…great true outcome, loved the movie and loved Sarah…8/10…

Barbarian - There's some interesting ideas in the Film imo, but it's poorly executed.

And I am sick to death of Hollywood's Misandry and sexual degeneracy, and the Film has a bit of both.

Overall I would probably score the Film a 4/10

Mercy starring Chris Pine, Rebecca Ferguson. In the near future a cop is arrested for the murder of his wife and put before the Mercy court, an AI construct that tries and, if found guilty, executes suspects in 90 minutes. But the cop has no memory of the murder... face-paced and a cleverly put-together idea. 8/10.

Well they changed the ending which was a big impact LOL

They changed little things to the various storylines as well.

It was just an easier watch for me with a better ending ..


On that note .. there is now apparently an alternate Ai ending for Leonardo DiCaprio where he bursts to the surface and LIVES !!

…Apex……an adrenaline rush movie/storyline with Charlize Theron and nasty, nasty Taron Egerton who wants to hunt her down and add her to his serial killer list of kills…it was a bit of an oh for goodness sake storyline in the danger Charlize’s character placed herself in but it was tense and thrilling enough and Taron plays a convincing enough psychotic monster…6/10…biggest criticisms would be, did not like the height shots and not enough Eric Bana…
