Maybe I missed something here..but why did the twins get a phone call from Shane during this task when everyone else was getting gunged, made to eat horrible things, find out bad things others had said about them, wear a snake costume and so on?

Also other than that did they really need to do the whole montage thing during the singing in the phone call

Yes its true they do ,but the parents didnt help matters by saying "Shut up you pair of stupid twats ,wtf do you think you are ,*Peter Kaye and Alan Carr ?" and the housemates instead of telling them to stop acting like 2 x 6 yr olds tell them they are funny too ...they are in for a rude awakening when they get out ,and folk throw lettuce at them when they are in queue at McDonalds
