Maybe to answer the question to people who say Sam is boring, name a few reasons why you like Sam. Here's mine;
1. He's Welsh (i'm sorry I can't help it) ![]() 2. He's funny, I love his jokes. 3. He was a great friend to Callum and didn't get swayed by the rest of the house and stuck by him. This is why Sam needs to win BB14!

Lol. As far as I'm concerned, that's a con. But I can live with that small unfortunate definity.

Something inoffensive

Reasons:
He has not resorted to bitching about other HM's He has made me laugh I understand and respect his reasons for being in there and how he has dealt with it He is down to earth and represents the everyday person on the street He isnt chavy I think the friendship he struck up with Callum was one of the better parts of the series and possibly the only genuine friendship that has been struck in there He's Welsh Last edited by Josy; 13-08-2013 at 06:41 PM. Reason: Removing baiting comment |

Why do I like Sam? I had a massive bet on him from the end of first week when his odds drifted to oblivion.

He seems genuine.
He stands by his friends. He may not have been what some class as an entertaining housemate but I have said this before and still think housemates that are less involved with the others can stand back and watch everything that's going on in there from a fair perspective so they can make decisions based on their own opinions without just copying what other hm's think, like Sam proved when he was discussing Charlie with Gina a week or so ago.... He's one of the only likeable ones out of this years bunch IMO. He says what he thinks, if he thinks someone has been **** stirring about him then he goes to them and is straight to the point with them. |

Ok Sam quibbled over the exact words but conveniently missed the whole point and just made himself look silly. He's trying to take the moral highground to appear holier than thou and it's just a joke ! |

My opinion is that Sam went straight to Dexter when he though he was telling lies about him and face the problem head on.. |

Sam just too stubborn to see thing any other way than his own. Here's what happened... Dex said Sam told him not to speak to him. Sam made a mountain out of a molehill pointing out he said "Don't feel the need to speak to me". Boils down to the same thing. i.e. Sam was in grumpy mood questioning his motivation and thinking the worst of Dex. And worst of all, he never recognized the point Dex made. He simply took the huff and lost his rag when Dex won the argument. Last edited by the_answers; 13-08-2013 at 07:02 PM. |

(posted this earlier in a different thread but it fits here as well)
Sam's a real guy, not some insecure, hungry fame-***** using a phony story to navigate their way through a reality show. It takes a truly good person to accomplish navigating the house this long without stirring a bunch of **** and I find that incredibly admirable... not boring, not lazy but admirable. It's better than Dexter's anxious insecurity, Charlie's flip-flopping, Gina's phoniness, the twins' incessant need for attention or Sophie's bitchiness. Sam is more together than pretty much anyone else left in that house could dream of being. I hope the majority of viewers see this and reward someone who is deserving of the money, not necessarily because he put on a show, but because he was a good guy who lasted in the game for a long time. |

After he said "She [Charlie] backstabbed you" to Callum what happened ? He's all over Charlie with hugs, hairstroking etc offering his support and sticking up for her. I thought it was quite 2 faced at the time. Yet again we see how loyalties are quickly dropped when people are booted out. I think he's just ACTING like he's all moral but his BEHAVIOUR (e.g. vulgar jokes) tells a slightly different story. Last edited by the_answers; 13-08-2013 at 06:23 PM. |

Sam is himself, not trying to be anyone else
Sam is honest Sam is no ass licker Sams the only one I think to confront Dexter and tell him a few home truths Sam likes to have fun, make people laugh and is kind Sam doesn't trust Dexter which makes him sound in my book Sam is a worthy winner.and more people would have seen that had BB not concentrated so much on the 'love triangle and romance angle, that they forced down our throats every night,he has the best one liners, is witty, and a nice down to earth bloke.

I'm a geordie, Jay from BB12 is a geordie, and I thought he was a dickhead...
And all of those things listed above mean he'd probably be an alright guy to be friends with, but don't make him an entertaining housemate, so he's probably the person least worthy of winning. Everyone else has at least done something, even Sophie.

When the fact nationality is one of the three main reasons you support a housemate, it kind of confirms they have been a bit ****.
There have been load of Mancs over the years, doesn't mean I'll support them because they are in a 10 mile radius. If they are ***********s/bores they can disappear. |

that's all well and good to preach about not supporting a fewllow Irishman or Englishman or whatever.....but the welsh are different.....I know we in England don't understand it, but the welsh are different..its a small compact little nation, theyve only got 10 surnames because they stay at home and love their beloved country and support their fellow countrymen/women......trust me whatever you think about not supporting your fellow nationality is out the window in wales. |

But **** that if you think I'm going to accept 'he's Welsh' as a valid reason for him being such a worthy housemate, it's terrible that somebodies main reason that they could think of for why they support a house-mate is because they live in the same country. |
