Pete glided on air into the Diary Room this afternoon. We all know that Nikki is the wind beneath his wings. So why can't he just come out and admit it?


"It's amazing seeing her. It's kicking ass," he beamed in a Diary Room confessional. "I had a great night and couldn't stop cuddling her. I missed Nikki so much. It blew me away."

"Why did you miss her so much?" asked Big Bro.


"She's beautiful and wicked," he explained. "And I like her cos she's weird. I love her quirky ways, like how she washes her mug 12 times before she drinks. I couldn't resist her because she's such a loving character. Her little smile is to die for. I can relate to her."

Aww man. We're welling up here.

"When she left I thought 'what am I doing?" he continued. "I've got this gorgeous little thing who likes me and she's lovely. And I thought 'Pete, just accept it. Stop all these barriers and enjoy being loved and give it back'. I knew I wanted to make her happy cos I cared about her so much."

But when Big Bro asked him to define his relationship, Pete clammed up. For more than five minutes he tried to say the words we've all been desperate to hear. But could he say them? Could he heck.

"Oh you. I can't say. I'm embarrassed," he said. "We are something...it's amazing. We are very...it's great. Ohhhh. I love her. I love her. Aaaarrgh!" he said, spitting it out at last. "There I said it."

Phew. We do like a happy ending.
