Yeah, of course they will. As outsiders we can see that, but it's different when we're the ones panicking about our own teams.

Fellaini is a twat. Hes just gonna make us play route one football.
The guy will probably get a red card on his debut.
This guy should be in wwf.

Meh. I was resigned weeks ago that we will only get Fellaini and Baines. Doesn't even look like Baines either. Just pay Herrera's release clause FFS. We really are cash strapped lol

That's a scandalous thing to suggest. Moyes' Everton team were free flowing and a joy to watch.

I feel like I've been arse raped in prison by a BBC. Infact, that'd probably feel better right now.

Yeah, his assists have been remarkable. I remember there being a stat about a year or two ago that in two seasons he had more assists than Xavi and Iniesta combined...

Xavi and Iniesta aren't judged on assists though tbf, but still crazy stats for Ozil.

Serious question for the gooners - Do you think that Ozil will make a huge difference? If you didn't sign another DM, or CD, what difference do you think Ozil will make to the team?

I always thought that an attacking midfielder wasn't top of Arse's priorities with the squad you've got.

More journalists saying we turned down the chance to sign Ozil. Embarrassing if we did.

We're good going down the wings and create most of our goals that way but centrally we aren't creating that many chances at the moment.. i honestly think it'll make Giroud twice the player he is at the moment having Ozil playing behind him.. but our priority should have been a defensive mid/winger.. still, theres 9 hours to go

Barney Ronay @barneyronay

I like the way the mob of children in the background make it look like Sky reporters are all about to start singing I Believe I Can fly

Think I should get back to doing the Restaraunt's accounting. This is just frustrating lol.

Will be back when we sign Ronaldo and Messi peeps.

The beardy one is a man of great class. I'd love to see him back for a year or two.

I imagine Ronaldo won't welcome him. Egotistical twat at times.

Herrera apparently willing to lower his wage demands, and the money would contribute towards the fee. Fellaini and Herrera wouldn't be so bad...

Sharnt get my hopes up. Back to slitting my wrists.

From the Guardian:

2.07pm BST
Scotland's foremost authority on Spanish football has news ...

Graham Hunter, for it is he, claims that Manchester United have not yet conceded their defeat in their efforts to sign Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrara. Chillingly, for Arsenal fans, he claims that their club does not have "a completely clear field for Ozil, despite being in pole position".
