You say a mummy's boy, but don't you mean he supplanted his father's role when he died when Hitler was just a boy? He was forced by circumstance to be the man of the house. So he was the man of the house from an early age. This catapulted his maturation. He was a man before his time. He had to take care of himself and his mother before his time. He joined the army, he excelled. He was decorated for his bravery. The rest is in books and Youtube.
