I know, I was in tears by the end. Things we take for granted were such a struggle for her, and instead of feeling sorry for herself she wanted to be a role model in a way and inspire others.

My friend's mum lost a sister to cystic fibrosis, it's a truly awful condition...

I've only really started looking into it after I read about Alex, I also found out that because so many children get it, and since they find the name of CF difficult to pronounce. It's kinda also known as 65 Roses (it kinda sounds like it). And so the rose has become a symbol for the illness. Last edited by GypsyGoth; 22-10-2013 at 11:34 PM. |
