That would be rubbish news, we need renewables... we don't need nuclear, which will add £100s to bills btw.

But all these wind farms don't seem to be working I don't mind paying for something that actually works, haven't they stopped building wind farms now?

alreet arsey pretty sure I heard on the news that they were stopping building wind farms as they haven't been as successful as they originally thought, ie not enough energy out to justify the cost of building

actually I did just google and it appears that wind farms are generating too much energy at times for the grid to take Pretty sure I heard that about the wind farm building being halted, maybe around the same time they were doing a deal with China for Nuclear? anyone??

Unbelievable... we have energy but we get rid of it to say we need a nuclear facility.
As Alan Partridge would say 'THIS COUNTRY!'

I don't see the issue with windfarms... I think they're relaxing to watch, and in olden days windmills were everywhere... I don't see the associated problems nuclear brings!
Ireland would be lucky to get them, we got the radioactive end of the stick!

Ireland has loads of them already they stuck one on the very picturesque mountain opposite my Mums house, it is a bit of an eyesore, why can't people just get a small one they can put on their roofs like chimneys.

Well everyone could have solar but the government scuppered that didn't they?...
Generate more energy than you need and sell it back to the energy companies for profit?!... I don't think so!!

Most have been bad but his peformance at PMQ's today was abyssmal, he came across desperate and seemed like he had plucked this out of thin air with little thought given to the move.
Of course anything that may help decrease bills for energy has to be welcomed but the problem still remains, what has to be done to and with the energy companies.

He also has to get this passed the Lib Dem part of the coalition too and frankly at this stage of the parliament it will surprise me if he does get any of it through really.
This was a really bad show from the PM today and still no condemnation of the energy companies in the main for putting their customers and the country in fact in this position.

He certainly was badly rattled with this issue today for sure.

So a reduction of £100 for most households? Err...

The average bill is over £1000, and prices have just hiked 10%. So they've just gone up by OVER £100 per household. But now good ol' Dave is going to get them reduced... By less than what they've just gone up... So everything will just be the same. For now. Until they hike the prices again next year.

It's like whacking an elastoplast on someone whose just been stabbed in the kidney.
