The X Factor winner’s single to be released in aid of two great charities
We’re pleased to announce this year’s winner’s single will be in aid of two fantastic charities – the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives.
The song will be available to download straight after one of our finalists is crowned the winner on Sunday 15 December and in shops on Wednesday 18 December - with at least £1 for each CD sold and at least 20p for each download sold in the UK going to the two charities.
Simon Cowell confirmed this great news, telling us: “Both Together for Short Lives and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity are really important charities. Every day they do inspiring work and help a load of kids and their families, all of which need their expertise and support.
“I have been lucky enough to see first-hand the great work that both of these charities do and I am thrilled that we can do something to help by donating the sales of The X Factor winner's single to them both. Thank you in advance to everyone who will help.”
So, don’t forget your support counts!
The winner’s single will be available for download after the live X Factor Final on Sunday 15 December. It will be in stores on Wednesday 18 December.
