Default Do you reckon Paul Asker would have made it thus far?

He was the "overweight dark haired one" with ace voice Louis ditched at judges houses stage.

I think he would definitely got further than Sam C, in fact he'd probably have defeated Sam B, I fully expect him to return next year and win.

I don't think Paul had the right look to win, but I do think he could've got to the final and depending on how he performed on the night he could've finished 2nd.

If he was brought back as a wild card he would've won because everyone gave the "I only judge people on their voice" act which is ridiculous. You've either got to be really ugly or have potential to be good looking which is easier to do with a female imo.

If Louis put him through he would never have got enough votes to get in the final.

Bull - teens aren't the only ones that vote on x-factor. The older market are more secure and less superficial and are more interested in talent and a great voice than they are in appearance and going with the crowd. Paul has a lovely voice and plenty of people would buy his records. As I have said before - the charts and pop music are far from being the only relevant type of music out there.

I'd like to think he would have been here still instead of RC or Luke

I never said teens were the only ones that voted...and people like Sam Bailey, she had a clear personality before she was in the live shows, Paul didn't have that either. You can't really just be a good singer and just average looking with nothing to you anymore.

All I know is that when I am listening to a cd - I want to enjoy a voice that makes me melt, a voice that gives me goose bumps. I really couldn't give a jolt what they look like or what sort of personality they have. All stuff and nonsence in my book.
