In this one-off special, the master illusionist and showman tries to pull off the perfect crime. He has bet renowned art collector Ivan Massow he can steal a painting from right under his nose. Derren reveals which work is being targeted - a piece by Turner-nominated British brothers Jake and Dinos Chapman - and tells Ivan exactly what time the theft will happen. He even provides a photograph of the person who is going to take it. In order to pull off the heist, he recruits a crew - not of career criminals or cat burglars - but of pensioners.

Shame it's not a series this time but this one-off special looks sweet

It was good - I liked the twist, I was so embarassed for them when it seemed like it went wrong!

This is now one of my favourite shows of his, despite me thinking it wouldn't be all that great

For anyone that loved Derren's older stuff that was more about misdirection, you'll love this. It was quite touching too

I don't think i can really enjoy much of Derren's stuff anymore
There's obviously going to be a twist with everything he does and i'm sick to death of these false finishes that he does

I do like him and the stuff he does is mental but i'd just like to see him fail just once properly

I mean i know it's the whole basis of his act, it just gets my hopes up when i always think he's failed and i always fall for it and its always the same outcome

He did genuinely fail once though, who could forget this anti-climatic and completely surreal ending to what was the amazing 'The Events' series
