BETS have soared on Welsh boy Glyn Wise to win Big Bruv — thanks to yesterday’s Sun.

Our special edition headlined Pleidleiswch Glyn — Vote For Glyn — was the talk of Welsh TV and radio.

In fact it was so popular our edition completely sold out.

And readers in the Land of the Red Dragon rushed to the bookies to bet on their boyo, sending his odds tumbling.

Bookmakers saw a five-fold increase in punts on Glyn — with 85 per cent of flutters coming from his home region of North Wales.

Ladbrokes’s Nick Weinberg said: “Glyn was backed across the board throughout Wales in the last 24 hours.

“We thought it had become a two-horse race between Pete and Aisleyne, but the Welsh dragon is finishing strongly.”

And in our special Big Brother phone poll the 18-year-old sixth-former is ahead of favourite Pete Bennett by TWO votes — making it a neck and neck battle.

Glyn — whose odds have now tumbled to 7/1 — pledged to win the Channel 4 reality hit for Wales tomorrow night.

And even Big Brother went Cymru crazy yesterday and spoke in Glyn’s mother tongue.

As the housemates lounged about, Big Bruv said in Welsh: “Would a housemate come to the Diary Room.”

While the others looked confused, Glyn yelped in excitement and sprinted to the Diary Room. He came out a few moments later, beaming: “It’s a Welsh Big Brother!”

But Pete was a bit jealous, quipping: “I want a Big Brother with Tourette’s!”

Big Brother then wound up Pete and Nikki by continuing to talk in Welsh when they went into the Diary Room.

Pete just replied in nonsense words like “Ja wok. Eezer wangie woogie nibble nobble”.

And there were tears and tantrums when Nikki confronted Welsh Big Brother during a rant about the air conditioning. Glyn had to translate.

Latest odds are Pete 1/5, Aisleyne 3/1, Glyn 7/1, Nikki 40/1, Richard 66/1 and Jennie 100/1.

Never mind betting! They should put the money towards votes! The Sun has more readers than The Mirror but it's clear that both papers are using Glyn and Aisleyne to sell more papers.

This is the whole point!

We're all making statements about this and that. And none of us really know for sure.

Let's face it... the tabloids aren't behind anybody. They just print stories ( real or fictional ) that they hope will sell them more copies.

Yeah they pretend to be behind housemates to sell papers. Yesterdays copy of The Sun sold out in Wales. Shameless really. Those two papers sell alot of copies to the BB demographic; working class people. They can make a small difference to the voting because as far as alot of people are concerned the are actually supporting them.
