Default SYMPATHY PLEASE!!!!!

Feeling sorry for myself so am turning to TIBB who I know will cheer me up.

Story so far - went to Scotland with OH and best friends for Christmas and New Year

Everything fine until Monday - great food, fantastic hotel, wonderful entertainment, amazing company etc etc.

THEN

Coming back from shopping trip to Glasgow I was descending from this huge great four wheel drive car we hired and slipped.

DISASTER

There was me unable to move, back completely seized up and former nearest and dearest plus former best friends were in complete hysterics. They were doubled up (no pun intended) and all they could say was it could only happen to me.

So upshot was that there was me in a posh hotel in Scotland pretending to be a posh bird on New Year's Eve drinking ORANGE JUICE (not allowed alcohol because of medication) surrounded by 'thousands' of completely drunken people.

Still I did get to admire fully the piper in all his glory - what a pair of knees he had under that kilt.

Anyway am now laid up, with a pulled muscle in my back - told to rest which is driving me mad I hate being inactive. OH is busy passing the tale (or his version) of how I came to be injured. Needless to say it involves whisky, dancing on tables and haggis - as if!!

Still it makes a change from his version of what happened at the TIBB convention. All I will say is - if only!!

Anyway all sympathy greatly accepted and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL - things can only get better

What a bad start to the New Year, BusyBee (except for that Piper of course ).

Pulled back muscles are horrendously painful and you have my utter sympathy.

Your OH should be running round looking after you, not telling porkies!

Take care and get better soon.

Hi BusyBee.

Glad to hear you enjoyed Scotland - sorry about the lack of snow . . . . it only arrived yesterday night.

So sorry to hear about your poorly back, AND the fact that you couldn't indulge in a few 'sherries' on Hogmanay. Hope you feel much better very soon.

I'm sure sitting in a comfy chair in front of your PC, surfing the TiBB site while your OH tends to your every whim, will aid your recovery immensely!

Take care - it's great to have you back! (oops, sorry to remind you ).

Poor Busy Bee

Bees should not land on their backs it does them NO good at all ! As one back sufferer to another you have ALL the sympathy I can send.

Now about that Piper......You must have had a very good view of him from the ground. Just WHAT is it that they wear beneath their Kilt - you didn't mention that only the knees !!!!:la ugh:

Actually I spend all my Birthdays, Christmases and New Year Eves with out alcohol, as I am teetotal.

This year I was drinking Tea to see the new year in.

I do not understand this need to imbibe something that makes us loose control and damages our liver.

As for the injury, how come you are sitting up and typing at a keyboard when you are supposed to be lying flat ?

Do you have a state of the Art Laptop ?

Busy Bee, bless your tubigrip and embrocation, I THOUGHT you'd been uncharacteristically quiet.

As for the lack of booze doctors always over exaggerate the need to lay off in combination with analgesia. Gits! You could have had a bevy or two OR forsaken the pills and imbibed sufficient quantities to feel no pain!

Not that I am advocating this of course

By the way........................

Welcome back!!

A little bit of alcohol does no harm as long as you control the alcohol and not the other way around - you've got to know when to stop. Its amazing how some people can be a bit more happier when they've had a bit of drink, they loosen up. Then again, alcohol spurs all sorts of emotions - anger, depression, sensitivity etc.

Oodles of sympathy wafting its way towards you, poor Busy Bee.
I really hope you'll soon be buzzing around as normal. We need you to get spring underway as soon as possible. I hate January and february.

Lots of love and good wishes to you and I hope you'll be better soon.

Because its fun and makes U feel a bit less stupid on the dancefloor! Even if makes you look even more stupid!

I think everyone has had a moment when they've drank far too much and done something stupid/had memory loss/been sick (or all 3 in my case!) and you learn from that and you dont get out of control or drink enough to damage your liver ever again! Well I havent done it again yet anyway! Lol!

Lighten up Sticks luv!

You have my sympathy as well Busy Bee. What a start to 2003.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH

I feel about 90 at the moment (no rude comments please). Although I have made the most of bossing my lot around whilst doing precisely nothing. They deserve it for all the stick I've had to take. Still while they are laughing at me they are leaving someone else alone

Anyway thanks for all the kind comments -greatly appreciated. I'll soon be buzzing around again.

OOOH THAT HURT
