There isn't any difference between homophobia and racism and religion should not be used as an excuse to be able to broadcast that opinion on television. It's like saying that there's nothing wrong with radical extreme muslims voicing their views about terrorism.

Yeah I agree if Jim said this he would be castigated and in fairness this is what I expect from Jim

Perfectly put. Sometimes, you just have to tolerate other people's opinions and be mature enough to let it go over your head.

I think his opinion is very, very wrong, but I guess you just have to understand that that is his opinion and he's entitled to have it, no matter how wrong it may be.

Luisa should not have asked the question should have been here receiving the warning

This ain't no Z-Lister like Dappy we talking about an A + lister , top 10 GOAT boxer here Evander should have got up and gave the camera a right hook for having the nerve to call him out

Oh please Yeah let's just embrace Westboro Baptist Church. What a joy to have people from all different backgrounds express their discriminatory beliefs.

Whilst I don't agree with his religous beliefs...they are his religous beliefs so i don't think he should have got a warning. These beliefs however outdated they are to me are held by people from all races so I don't get how people are comparing his beliefs to racism.

No it's called being realistic. If he had gone out of his way to rant about how he hates gays and they should be burned then fine. But a private convo that had the question asked to him is not in the same league. But by all means, carry on crying homophobia at every little thing. You'll grow up one day.

Lots of people have personal views about sexuality, race and a host of issues, that's not illegal or immoral but talking about it is. CH5 are just being politically correct to cover their asses.

You've missed the point. I wasn't saying that the beliefs are only held by one race. I was saying that homophobia is the same as racism. There is no difference. You are discriminating against someone based on something they didn't chose. Religion or not, it is discrimination.

And don't give me the whole 'freedom of speech' thing. I'm not saying that Evander shouldn't be able to express his beliefs, but I don't believe that he should have expressed them on television. That isn't a freedom of speech situation, that is a situation in which he has violated his contract which clearly states that such things cannot be said on air and what he is being paid for. Very similar situation to what happened with the Duck Dynasty guy recently.

There is no such thing as "personal view" about race. There is being racist or not. Same with sexuality.

100% agree with you, I think he should have been evicted for that .... I just hope the public evicted him now, as you say if he had made a racist comment he would have been asked to leave, in my eyes there no different being homophobic & racism, there as bad as each other.

I love how your only response to everyone who disagrees with you is "grow up" - I think you should probably take your own advice there, you're nowhere near as clever as you think you are

Wow, why are you being rude? Can't you have a discussion without resorting to it? It's not called being realistic at all. It's called tolerating discrimination because on some level you don't see a problem with it. And before you use, "I'm gay myself" as some sort of comeback, please don't because it's irrelevant in the case when you are supporting homophobia.

How am I "crying homophobia"? It's not as if he just said "Oh, I don't really think that being gay is okay" - he said that being gay is wrong, unnatural, a mistake, and a disability. How exactly is this not homophobia?
