it's more about their humour, fashion, accents, outlook on life etc as it differs a lot not just because they're from a different country

I think the US has a much bigger variety of looks. And it has a larger population, so I think it makes scene that there would be more people I find attractive there.

And as Alex mentioned, Americans do tend to be more confident, and that does bring with it a certain sex appeal.

However I think I would feel different if the US was compared to Europe.

Obviously speaking in general terms, but so many Americans are well built, perfect looking, confident, happy and just generally have it all going for them and for me I find that a little intimidating, like I could never really find someone like that attractive beyond a superficial level because they would seem like they have their life in order and I don't. So yeah, Americans are generally better looking but if I was looking to date someone I'd generally want to date a British person, being one myself, you tend to go for what you know in all walks of life etc...

I think no matter where you come from though, there's always some kind of attraction to foreigners, so like lots of American girls find British guys hot, I'm sure it works in different ways no matter where you go in the world

That's tough, maybe one of the scandinavian countries. But I went to barcelona a couple of years ago, and the amount of attractive look people was jaw-droppingly stunning.
