I do...I get those tins you hve to use a tin opener for. I start in January and then open them for the Christmas food shop. It always pays for all the goodies and extras. I have one for copper and one for silver and dump everything in at the end of each day. I had 5 tins last year.

...someone bought me one of those money jars that you have to break..?..for Christmas..so I feel as though I don't want to put copper and small change etc in it because then I might break it and there only be around £5 in, so I've become addicted to saving £1 coins..(and £2 coins sometimes..)...just to make it feel better when I do have to break it...I think my family are wondering who is stealing their change when they leave it lying around.....

..yeah, I think the rule is that if it's there for a certain time, it becomes public property or common ownership or something, I can't remember the exact law but it says, yep, I'm going in your box now...

..haha, yeah that seems like a fair swap...with the really small change, I usually save it up and then change it at Sainsbury's in that machine they have where you don't have to count it or bag it, it just tells you how much there is.....

I hardly ever have/use cash.
I do our son's weekly shopping and he pays me in cash when he picks it up, I tend to fold the notes up and stick them in my glasses case, come in handy for giving the kids treats, paying the hairdresser etc.
If it mounts up it goes into the bank.

Yes I put all the small change I get (pennies, 2ps and 5ps) into a tub, and a couple of times a year get it changed and have a treat day. It soon mounts up.

Yes I have a gigantic glass bottle that I throw my change into.

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to spending money. I only like dealing with cash. A mans wallet shouldn't be full of coins my grandad always told me.

I have three Tupperware boxes that I use for change. Small one for pound coins, medium one for silvers and large one for coppers. I had to empty my silver one a few months ago and it had £172 .

I put anything under 50p in my daughter's piggy bank. Though I'll confess - I've raided it for a bus fare more than once
