As with last series, before each knockout round each coach has to choose one artist from their team to get a "fast pass" to the live shows, the remaining six artists from that team will then be split up into two groups of three. At the end of each knockout round the coach will then decide out of the three artists who will win, and therefore will make up their three artists to take to the live shows.

Seems a bit brutal cutting 4 of them per team.

On the DS forums, one of the people who went to the filming of the knockout rounds said that there is no fast pass this year - they all sing separately and then the judges get to choose 3 people each to take to the next round.
