Not long enough to freeze

The boss is trying to get more customers
to switch to his firm.

To me its only a year and a half price freeze
so its not long enough.

And what will it go up to after that short time?

I find it nauseating that David Cameron has tried to claim credit for this.
This Govt would have done not a thing as to energy bills had Ed Miliband not made it a major issue at his conference speech last year and borught it much more to the public debate.

This move by this energy company may have little to do with what Ed Miliband said but it shows one thing for sure, an energy price freeze 'can' be done, which is something this Govt and our totally useless PM, David Cameron, said was a 'fantasy'.
Unbelievable the cheek of the man to now claim credit for any of it happening.
I really wonder does he actually ever remember what he says or is it all verbal garbage he talks.

What is needed is a hefty price cut, a price freeze means nothing. I am with British Gas, I moved from a fixed rate in October to an alleged lower rate tarriff, plus the 50 quid green tax should have kicked in, they put my direct debit up by 4.00 last month, when I queried it the woman on the other end waffled on that only by using less energy would the DD come down (eh what with a cheaper tarriff and a reduced green tax) when I pointed out that my energy use was less according to their own energy graphs (you compare this years to last years usage), she waffled on a bit more, (pretty sure these people are employed for their waffling skills rather than being helpful) and I came away from the call more confused than I started.

So to recap for those of you that dosed off

50 quid green tax reduction
less energy usage
cheaper tarriff than last year
rise in DD

work that one out.

SSE can afford to freeze their prices. They raised them by 8% last year alone.

You should try OVO Energy. They have the cheapest prices.

Having recently had a hilarious/horrifying read back over his rhetoric and promises prior to getting into government, I can only imagine that he forgets most of what he's said within seconds of saying it. Like a goldfish.

Absolutely, the man is ridiculous and the worst part is when he gets reminded of what he has said, he treats it as a joke.

What a useless leader of any party and an even worse PM.
No wonder he was seen through at the last election and denied an overall majority in what should have been the easiest election for any opposition party to win.
I still hope and also do believe that he will find he is not really listened to again in 2015 too.
He,in my opinion is a liability. What a loser.

Offcom, I thought the energy regulator was offwat?
Ł50 green energy reduction that's great, now energy companies won't have to offer any energy efficiency measures to anyone... We can just go on wasting what it's costing us more and more to use.... yey!
Every company raised prices by at least 8% not just SSE, they're worried that when Labour gets in they will force them down, so they're trying to tie as many in to this tarriff as they can maybe?
