Pregnant glamour model Josie Cunningham – who faced an online backlash after revealing her plans to have an abortion in order to go on Big Brother – will reportedly not appear on the show.

The fame-hungry 23-year-old claimed the Channel 5 reality TV series wanted to shortlist her as a contestant before realising she was pregnant, which prompted her plan to have an abortion.

Miss Cunningham, who also hit the headlines last year after controversially demanding a £4,800 boob job on the NHS so she could become a glamour model, made the shocking admission in an interview with the Sunday Mirror.

Claiming her career was worth more than the life of her unborn child, she told the newspaper: ‘I’m finally on the verge of becoming famous and I’m not going to ruin it now.

‘An abortion will further my career. This time next year I won’t have a baby. Instead, I’ll be famous, driving a bright pink Range Rover and buying a big house. Nothing will get in my way.’



Hopefully she hasn’t put down the deposit on that Range Rover just yet as TV bosses apparently fear working with her could now be a ‘minefield’, and are understood to have insisted she will not appear whether or not she terminates her pregnancy.

‘Josie is deluded if she thinks this will improve her chances of signing up, which were slim to non-existent to start with,’ a source told The Sun.

‘How can we work with her — or pay her — if she admits having an abortion to achieve that? It would be a minefield.’

Yesterday Josie was heavily criticised online for her comments, with an online petition demanding bosses refuse to allow her on the show.

Celebrities including TOWIE’s Mario Falcone and WAG Nicola McLean – who starred in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2012, also added their own two cents with McLean writing: ‘Totally outraged reading about that stupid sl*g that wants an abortion so she can go on big brother !!! She doesn’t deserve children.’

The TV-watching nation was momentarily spared when we thought Josie Cunningham had been snubbed from Big Brother – but she’s now revealed this couldn’t be further from the truth.

The pregnant fame seeker – who shot into the public consciousness after receiving £4,800 breast enhancements on the NHS – threatened to abort her unborn child in order to be signed up to the next series of the Channel 5 show.

Claiming ‘an abortion will further my career’, she was heavily criticised with an unidentified Channel 5 source quickly telling The Sun they absolutely couldn’t allow her on the show after her antics.
