Lack of details = avoid. Also, most likely a wank Tevion. Typical tripe dished out by Aldi/Lidl.

When it comes to HDTV's, don't go down the cheap route.

Yes but at least its 1080P and 32" size
with 3 HDMI's

in Argos it would be a 720P
with 1 HDMI if they could match that price

This Aldi Price helps many on low bugets

Rather have the Argos which would no doubt be a better brand. Viewing distance plays a part as to if you'll notice the difference.

Add to this if the TV breaks it gets shipped over to Germany to be fixed. Personally I would never buy a TV from Aldi.

32" full HD TV in Morrisons, £149.99. It's probably crap, mind you...

It'll be... Not a very good TV. You would be better buying one 2nd hand. I recently sold my 1080p 32" LG hdtv in perfect condition, for £100.

Replaced it with a 42" LG 1080p LED , £299.99 down from £449.99. Bargain, and awesome .

But yeah... You could get a good brand 32" LED for under 250 brand new if you shop around, less that £80 more than the aldi one. I personally would recommend saving up that little bit extra.

Full HD isn't hugely necessary. I'd rather have a 720p set by a better brand than Aldi's 1080p. I'd also be able to find out the specs and view reviews. Whereas with this Aldi one there's no details really.

Here's a TV around that price. Better make, actually gives you the specs, and a better supplier. Free five year warranty as well.

a SAMSUNG PE43H4500 43" Plasma TV on 720 went for £45 at my local auction last week. It was split new. came from a deceased house. generally you can pick up at 40 or 50 " samsung or LG for 40 to 80 most weeks

hit your local auction if you want a tv and dont care where it came from. some come from police.

Rofl. Let me get this straight.

32 inch Toshiba 720p HDTV, known specs, top brand.

vs

1080p LED HDTV, most likely made by Tevion. Aldi giving no specs, deeming a remote control to be of premium quality...

You'd choose the Aldi because it's 1080p? This despite the fact there are more important aspects to a television set than whether it can do 1080p. Especially seeing as though...

1. Viewing angles play a part as to whether you'd even notice.

2. Sky, Freeview and Freesat don't natively broadcast in 1080p.

3. 1080p on a 32 inch set is widely regarded as being a marketing ploy and, to some, no difference between 720p and 1080p on a set of that size.

4. What if the Aldi TV suffers from motion blur, poor sound, dire response time, and ghosting issues, yet the Toshiba doesn't? Guess it still has 1080p and a premium remote control going for it.

Basing a decision purely on a higher number, is this case, is ludicrous.

They are giving the Specs

"Resolution: 1920 x 1080"

What is so stupid is you do not know if Toshiba
or LG or Samsung made this Aldi TV.
Then add the Tevion name

"Sky, Freeview and Freesat don't natively broadcast in 1080p"
Correct its 1080i
well above your 720P

But by adding a BluRay Player (now costing under £50)
it will play Full HD 1080P
unlike your real old 720P TV that can not
