Default This is not Big Brother...

..I like Chris but seriously, having the public vote the power housemate and then letting that housemate know that so they already have knowledge of the public's perception of them..wasn't one of the biggest things about BB, to not have housemates 'aware' because it could have an influence over behaviour...

I agree...far too much contact with the outside world, knowledge etc.....The HMs are already so clued up about game plans etc that giving them more information just ruins it....

They should do like a HoH competition to win it like in the US version

It will be crap if the public keeps voting for them, and seeing how Pauline was allowed to be voted for again this week, Chris will keep getting the power which will be boring to watch.

Would love to see an endurance challenge to win it; maybe do something like the box task from big brother 6. The person who stays under their box the longest wins the power.

..oh I loved the box task on BB..but you're right I think housemates should have to 'earn' the power, it's the only fair way and no matter who our favourites are, I do think it should be fair and I think that this thing with letting the housemates know they've been voted for certain things spoils it and also can mean that we're not getting their genuine personalities because then that knowledge could have a bearing on their behaviour...

Save and replace in BB11 was great and they backtracked and we've never seen it since. Competitive competitions are the one big advantage that the US version has always had over the British one. Sure have team tasks for rewards too but you need more edge to these things as well at times. On letting the HM know it's a public vote....I replied in the other thread.

I agree, I think there should be a competition similar to HOH in BBUS. I loved the BB11 save and replace. It would be nice to see who tries so hard to get it

Aspiring to be as little like BBUS as possible would be a step in the right direction.

BBAUS, on the other hand...

Yeah that would be the fairest way, I am really not sure about the public voting people for it. Or if they want the public to vote (do you pay to vote for this? I'm guessing you do) then disguise the result under the guise of a task.

oooh yeah I never realised that if the power housemate know they have been chosen by the public they would know they are popular. That's just changed the whole situation for me now not in a good way either

Doesn't really bother me, they done the same thing for Pauline and they have done public voting in tasks and stuff over the past few years.

For all Chris knows the public could have chose him because they thought he was nasty and would be evil with the power? he may not automatically jump to the conclusion that's he's loved.

I'm glad Chris has the power, but I agree with the competition's aspect, It'd be interesting to see who really wanted the power & who is determined to get it [I.e. stay in a box]. Rather than the public voting weekly & telling the HM whether they'e popular or not
