Default TV Moments Awards - 1st February

Story from Ananova

Jonathan Ross is to recall the highs and lows of television in 2002 in a BBC1 live awards event on February 1.

2002 TV Moments will pay homage to the best moments in drama, soaps, comedy, sport and reality TV.

Nominations include Angus Deayton being baited on Have I Got News For You, and Sandy Cumming escaping from the Big Brother house.

Another nomination is Rhona Cameron's classic rant on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! at her fellow contestants.

Also up for gongs are Richard Hillman killing his ex-wife with a spade in Corrie and Little Mo's Halloween confrontation with Trevor.

David Brent's dance in The Office and Jeremy Clarkson being a pain in What Not To Wear are also nominated.

A BBC spokesman said: "It's not just about classic treats - 2002 TV Moments will revel in those who lost their rags, their bottle, their stomachs, even their minds."

The nominations for this year's awards can be viewed on the BBC WEBSITE

This is the link to view the shortlisted clips for 'Best Reality Moment'.

Now I know Sandy escaping out of the BB House was one of the few entertaining moments of BB3, but I think most of you know where my vote will be going!!

Go Will!

Too right - Sandys exit was far too staged for my liking whereas Wills was soooo genune. Nobody thought he was going to win the show and the look on his face explains the thoughts of the whole nation. I can remeber jumping up and screaming around the house, my sisters and I were going mad. I really didnt care when Sandy left.

Sandy's exit from the BB house wins it for me, although I did enjoy Rhona's rant: 'Sometimes! Sometimes! Sometimes!'

I'd of also liked to see Jonny Gibb winning Survivor and David winning Fame Academy on the list.

No doubt we'll have to watch David Beckham's penalty against Argentina for the 238th time. I'd give the award to the curlers or the golfers myself.

I'm with you on that one, James. For me it was definitely the curlers. Can't stand football (sorry Janette and Sue!!).

I enjoyed Rhona's rant but the winner for me just HAS to be Will. His face was an absolute picture, bless him, love him!!

Funnily enough, for a reason I can't quite put my finger on at the moment, so would I James!

absolutely typical, a programme on BBC1 celebrating only programmes that were on BBC1.

WILL SHOULD HAVE WON!!!!

Let's hope they didn't disgrace themselves by clapping in the wrong places, or anything like that.

I am surprised we have got to January without them being banned from TV studios.

Mind you, silly me, what was I thinking of?

I mean, they were SO much better behaved than the BB2 housemates weren't they?

I've just been looking on Digital Spy and someone there posted that most of the BB3 housemates were there, all sitting in a block near the back. Apparently even Sandy was there

Not quite, Janette - IACGMOOH was on ITV!

BUT how the 'panel of judges' voted Rhona's rant a better TV moment that Will's Pop Idol win defies belief!!! If it had been the public's choice then I suspect we could well have had a different winner.

However, Well Done to the Scottish curling ladies for winning 'Best Sporting Moment'.

I don't think Sunita was there but Sandy definintely was, he was sitting next to Alex and his partner (don't know who she was).

I was surprised to see him at first, but then I realised that it was actually his escape that was up for the award so it made sense that he was there.
