Default Tasks this year pretty 'meh'?

Not sure if anyone else feels the same. But for me tasks this year have been very uninteresting. The shopping tasks have been truly awful and I haven't enjoyed them to any extent. While with a 15 year show you're bound to find regurgitated ideas dressed up differently, the themes of tasks just seem rushed and half arsed, with very little thought and creative input.

Even the mini-tasks have been lacking. Getting fed up of the usual "this was not the real task", I could forgive them for doing it once or twice but near enough every mini-task is like that, it gets very boring.

BB14 and the latest CBB (can't keep up with numbers) had pretty good tasks, not amazing, but good. It feels like this year there are either new task team members who clearly don't know what they're doing, or the old task team have just lost their steam. Either way I'm not feeling it this year when it comes down to tasks.

What are your thoughts on the tasks this year? Pure genius? Or a load of crap?

I think the tasks have been great! We just don't see enough of them due to the highlights being dominated by petty squabbles.

I'm surprised the housemates don't just presume every time that it's probably not the real task, since it barely ever is!

I have to agree with you interns of the HM's, I really struggled to find my favourite this year, were as last year I had picked my favourite in about 2/3 days, I also agree with what someone said above I think due to the lack of LF were not seeing the true picture of tasks & What the HM's are really like.

I probably would have liked the farm one but I hardly saw that one since I was away that week. The one last week was good although that got ruined with blaming the 3 with the breakfast for losing the task and turned into an argument again...... But I do agree about the mini tasks there doesn't seem to be hardly any and if there are any are overshadowed by arguments

I totally agree with you Jamesy. If these are all they can come up with they need to fire the task team or bring in some new blood that can come up with ORIGINAL ideas.

Yes i totally agree with you 100% !!
We haven't even seen them do a shopping list yet where they argue over who wants what, but maybe now we will as they on a budget for the next week.

The tasks are appalling even a 2 year old could do them :/

I really really hope they have a 2-3 day task where they are up all night!!

They have nothing on the pause/play/rewind and queen bee Gina which were both awesome.

I cant recall what any of the tasks were apart from the farm one this year which was **** but had 1 or 2 laughs.

The task team this year I agree are very poor if they are going to repeat tasks then repeat ones that were enetertaining I don't care just slap a lick of paint on it and call it something else ala ignore the obvious/play/pause/rewind.

I also loved the task in BB13 where they weren't allowed to laugh, watching Lydia having to leave the room because a tear was rolling down her face trying her hardest not to laugh was hilarious.

Even BB12 has the say yes task which pisses over any of the BB15 ones so far.

The "Housemates this isn't the real task" thing literally makes me roll my eyes then at the end when they find out they all give a very unenthusiastic "yaaay" and a clap bore off.

The problem for me is that they all seem to feature eating something nasty or getting nasty stuff thrown on you. It's terrible to watch people gipping all the time.

Its not im celeb I hate those eating tasks, it just doesn't fit in with the show. The tasks should test them mentally and not make them throw up.

Its been overdone.

Luke S in the diary room During the no laughing task was one of my top moments of that year.

We need an insomnia task, deprive people of sleep! This would line up well with the 6am eviction!

If they have to, at least re use some of the great tasks. No electric shock tasks, they've been done to death, but have them perhaps host a funeral instead of a wedding from BB5, perhaps bring back the box task from BB6 and the freeze task from BB14.
