Default Diego Poyet (Gus' son) to West Ham

West Ham set to announce signing of midfielder Diego Poyet, son of Sunderland manager Gus, on five-year deal.

Apparently brilliant for Charlton last season. Wonder if he would be still eligible having done u16 and still wants to play for England one day. Born in Spain, raised in England. Sorry Gus. Would have been funny seeing Gus with a dilemma in the WC Uruguay game.

I know Poyet Jnr only broke into Charlton team in January but with a choice of nationalities becoming an increasing issue in modern game (see Januzaj and also see Klinsman "stealing" German players like Julian Green for USA) I worry that old school FA and Hodgson aren't cut out for this aspect and we need to lock in the best multi-nationals
