I saw that there had been something going on at Hadley Wood with police sirens, ambulances etc, on popbitch yesterday, and thought the odds of it being really near them were pretty long.

How awful.

Incidentally, this isn't at all the property that was pictured on reports of the house they bought. It looks far more like the one Helen was pictured at on Lorraine.

What a terrible accident.

You're right Sticks - it's dreadful that someone has been killed, but thank goodness that Paul and Helen weren't in the area at the time.

Interesting observation about the property, ROB - maybe their flat is on the other side of the road?

Looks absolutely horrendous - what a tragedy.

Thank goodness H&P weren't driving by when it happened. What a shock for them if they weren't aware of it before they got home and what a shock even if they were. Poor chap didnt stand a chance.

They were very lucky that the tree didnt crash in the opposite direction. At that height it could have hit their flat.

Very, very sad indeed. It's usually so nice to see a Helen and Paul mention but not when it's related to a tragedy like this.
